We have an opportunity for an experienced Accountant to join our busy Finance team. Reporting to the Finance Controller, the key focus for the Financial Accountant role is on reconciling bank accounts, processing receivables, processing month end transactions, and other transactional data in our finance system.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Accounts Payable processing
Weekly Invoicing
Accounts Receivable
Bank reconciliations
Weekly hours payroll report and verification of hours
Support Financial Controller in Month end processes and reconciliations
Providing management reports to Design business to assist in decision making, including Job Budget
review
Refining processes with Synergy (design project management software) to ensure streamlined
reporting and invoicing
Work with Design business owners to implement processes and educate staff and new employees on
the use of Synergy
Assistance for the other businesses as requested by Financial Controller
Potential system projects such as the implementation of Business forecasting system to integrate into
Synergy and overall business planning
KEY COMPETENCIES:
Experience in a Design business or other services related industry desirable
Experience with Xero accounting software
Preferably experience with Synergy software and Tiny +
High aptitude for learning new computer packages and optimizing their potential
Great team member with strong communication skills
Attention to detail is critical
Process orientated, strong organization skills
Accounting qualifications required (level dependent on experience)
